Clinical Research Study to evaluate Renew™NCP-5 Therapy
Have you or a loved one been experiencing memory loss or have been diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease or mild dementia? Is your current medication not relieving your symptoms? If you are looking for new options then you may be interested in learning more about a new clinical trial opportunity nearby.
Local doctors are testing Renew™ NCP-5 Therapy, a non-surgical and FDA-cleared device, for the treatment of mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease or mild dementia.

What Is Renew™NCP-5 Therapy?
Renew™ NCP-5 system enhances blood circulation by squeezing blood from the lower body into the core while the heart is at rest. It acts like an auxiliary heart pumping blood between heartbeats. This action increases circulation while reducing the heart’s workload. The enhanced circulation widens blood vessels causing more blood to reach all areas of the body. Renew™ NCP-5 is FDA-cleared for increased blood flow for both heart patients and healthy individuals.
How Can Renew™NCP-5 Therapy Be Beneficial?
Good blood circulation is the cornerstone of good health. Blood delivers nutrients and oxygen and removes waste from our cells. When blood flows freely and efficiently, the body is able to defend itself against disease. But poor circulation can result in serious health problems including dementia, heart disease, diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, and cancer.

What To Expect
During Renew™ NCP-5 Therapy, you lie down on a padded table in a treatment room, where a member of the study staff wraps inflatable cuffs (similar to blood pressure cuffs) around your calves, thighs and hips. Three electrodes are put on your chest and connected to an electrocardiograph (ECG) that records your heart rate and rhythm. You will feel a strong “hug” upward from your calves to thighs to buttocks while the cuffs inflate. Then pressure will go down as they deflate in synchrony with your heartbeat and blood pressure.
Compression pressure will be set at different levels depending on which treatment group you are in. Each treatment session will last for 60-minutes. There will be 3-5 treatment sessions per week, between 7-to-12 weeks, with a total of 35 treatments, followed by two treatment sessions per week until 24 weeks.

What Is A Clinical Research Study?
A clinical research study tests the safety and efficacy of an investigational medicine or device in a population of volunteers. Every medical breakthrough goes through the clinical trial process, so participants like you play a very important role in advancing medicine for present and future generations.
